VILLAGE EMERGENCY PLAN

Following the tragic Ashill Fire which wiped out entire homes, gardens, and tracts of land, killing several pets and wildlife, as well as displacing more than 16 families for up to, or more than a year, the Parish Council decided to create an Emergency Plan.

The village Emergency Plan was created by a small team of volunteers and experts. It is a comprehensive document covering all potential or known eventualities. It was adopted by the Parish Council and a quick emergency guide was distributed to every recipient via Ashlink Magazine in August 2023.

It is truly hoped that we will not need this but of course, it pays to be ready. This plan represents a lot of hard work and we are one of the first villages in Norfolk to adopt such a plan.
